Resources
What it is for
Everything in the website's Resources section (and the Getting Started Right videos) is created here. No developer is needed to publish content.
Before you start
- Resources access.
- The content: text, a cover image, and the media file (MP3, MP4, PDF) or an external/YouTube link.
Steps: publish a resource
-
Resources → New resource. Choose the category (article, devotional, suggested reading, audio, video, document) and language (English or Spanish).
-
Enter the title; the web address (slug) is generated from it. Write the body as plain paragraphs separated by blank lines.
-
Cover image: upload one or pick from the cover library.
-
Media: upload the file. Large videos upload straight to EMAW's media storage with a progress bar; the duration and size are filled in automatically. Or paste a YouTube or external link instead.

Save, then Publish. It is live on the website within a minute.

Steps: update or replace media
- Open the resource, upload the new file (the old one stays available until you save), Save.
- The website shows the new file; the old address keeps working for a while because of caching, which is expected.
Steps: unpublish
Open the resource → Unpublish. It disappears from the website but is kept here.
Tips and troubleshooting
- Featured resources appear first on the website.
- Upload fails immediately: the media storage is not configured on this environment (the dev site may be mid-setup); tell the developers.
- Keep file names simple; the stored name is generated anyway.
- Getting Started Right shows specific resources in a fixed order; to change which videos appear there, ask a developer (it is set in the website code).
