Store

What it is for

Everything about book sales after the customer pays: the order's journey to the warehouse, shipments and tracking, stock levels, and the sales and shipping-cost reports.

Before you start

  • Store access.

The dashboard

Store opens with a summary: orders and revenue over time, top titles, and shipping cost versus what customers paid.

Steps: look at an order

  1. Store → Orders. Filter by status (paid, fulfilled, cancelled, refunded) or search by name, email or order number.

  2. Open the order: items, customer and shipping address, payment, the warehouse order with its status, shipments and tracking numbers, and the linked contact.

Order statuses

StatusMeaning
PendingCustomer has not finished paying; expires on its own
PaidPayment received; sent to the warehouse
FulfilledShipped; tracking available
Cancelled / RefundedUpdated from Stripe

Steps: fix a warehouse problem

If the warehouse did not accept an order (for example a product was missing in their system), staff receive an email and the order shows a warning.

  1. Open the order. Read the problem message.

  2. After fixing the cause, click Resubmit to warehouse. Use Refresh from warehouse to pull the latest status at any time.

Other channels

Orders placed outside the website (phone, events) appear under Orders too, imported from the warehouse so the sales reports and contact history are complete. They open on a simpler page.

Steps: inventory

  1. Store → Inventory. Stock per title comes from the warehouse and refreshes hourly; click Refresh to pull now.

  2. Low-stock titles are flagged. Click a title for its stock history.

Exports

Export CSV on the orders list for accounting; it respects the current filters.

Tips

  • Refunds are issued in Stripe, not here; the order updates automatically. A refunded order that already shipped must be handled with the warehouse.
  • Prices and product details come from the website's catalogue and Stripe; this app does not edit them.
