Differences from the mobile app
The web app and the mobile app share one account and one set of data. Anything you write in one is in the other. These are the differences you will notice.
| Mobile app | Web app | |
|---|---|---|
| Account creation | In the app | On the website, which hands you back to the app |
| Offline | Bible works offline after download; journal and verses sync when back online | Needs a connection |
| Bible search offline | Falls back to word search in the downloaded text | Not available offline |
| Audio practice | Record and get scored | Available where the browser allows the microphone |
| Verse audio | Played in the app | Played in the browser |
| Languages | English, Albanian, Norwegian, German, Brazilian Portuguese | The same five; no Spanish (the website has Spanish) |
| Theme | Light | Light and dark |
| Giving | Hidden on iPhone; link on Android | Link to the giving page |
| Sign-in methods | Link Google under Settings | Google on the login page; linking is done in the mobile app or on the website |
| Delete account | Settings | Settings |
Everything else (journal, verses, collections, practice modes, Verse Finder, reader, highlights, notes, tags, Library, books, progress, stats) is the same.
Which should I use?
Use the phone for daily quiet times and verse practice; use the web app when you want a keyboard for discussion-question answers or a big screen for the Bible with notes. Switch freely.
